Role Description

The Senior Associate, Lead People & Culture is responsible for leading Ahya’s hiring,onboarding, people operations, performance management, and culture developmentwithin the organisation.

The role ensures that the organisation attracts the right talent, integrates employees effectively, maintains structured people processes, and reinforces a consistent, high-performance culture aligned with Ahya’s values and governance standards.

Given Ahya’s AI-driven and climate-tech operating environment, the role requires prior experience in technology-led or venture-backed organisations, where People & Culture functions involve specialised hiring, evolving role structures, and close coordination withproduct, technology, and leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Hunt, Hiring & Workforce Planning

  • Lead talent hunt and recruitment activities aligned with approved headcount and workforce plans.
  • Manage the end-to-end hiring process including role scoping, sourcing, interviews, selection, offers, and joining.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future organisational needs.
  • Ensure all hiring decisions follow approved budgets, authority matrices, and documentation standards.
  • Assess both role fit and cultural alignment during hiring.

Onboarding & Orientation

  • Manage structured onboarding for all new hires from Day 1.
  • Deliver onboarding orientations covering culture, values, policies, performance expectations, and governance.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities with HR, IT, Admin, and line managers.
  • Ensure onboarding documentation and confirmations are completed and recorded as per the ISO 27001:2022 and Information Security Framework.

Culture Development & Engagement

  • Support and reinforce Ahya’s culture and values across teams.
  • Design and implement employee engagement and culture-building initiatives.
  • Promote ethical conduct, collaboration, and professional behaviour.
  • Support feedback mechanisms and engagement reviews.

Performance Management & KPIs

  • Administer KPI-based performance management processes.
  • Support goal setting, performance reviews, and feedback cycles.
  • Maintain appraisal records, promotion and increment documentation.
  • Monitor performance and retention trends and flag risks.

People Operations & HR Governance

  • Manage employee lifecycle processes including confirmations, role changes, and exits.
  • Maintain HR policies, SOPs, handbooks, and people documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with approval workflows, confidentiality, and record retention.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, contracts, and HR registers.

Offboarding & Exit Management

  • Execute structured offboarding processes including clearances and exit documentation.
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyse trends.
  • Ensure timely and compliant closure of employee exits.

Compliance, Reporting & Internal Coordination

  • Maintain People & Culture documentation in audit-ready condition.
  • Prepare HR reports, dashboards, and summaries for management.
  • Coordinate with Legal, Finance, IT, and Operations on people-related matters.
  • Support management with HR communications and documentation.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Psychology, Law, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in hiring, people operations, onboarding, and performance management.
  • Experience in structured, policy-driven organisations.
  • Strong judgement and discretion in handling people matters.

 Skills & Competencies

  • Strong hiring and talent assessment capability.
  • Clear communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to balance people needs with organisational requirements.
  • Comfort with KPIs, trackers, and reporting.
  • Professional maturity and attention to detail.
